Question: What are the biggest challenges the African continent will face in the field of energy?

Answer: First of all, its infrastructure, due to the mesmerizing development taking place in Africa, we have to make sure to equip, especially in terms of roads and transportation related to hydrocarbons, it's the main challenge.

Question: What are the available opportunities in the Democratic Republic of Congo in oil and gas fields?

Answer: The opportunities are huge because the Democratic Republic of Congo harnessed only 4% of its hydrocarbons reserves or gas so there is still a long way to go, regarding the gas industry, we will be exploiting billions of cubic kilometers of gas, and when it comes to barrels of oil, our potential is tremendous and I think if we know how to exploit it, we can help the world.

Question: The Democratic Republic of Congo will organize in 2022 a ..........., could you explain in depth this opportunity and point out the plans you'll be covering?

Answer: This opportunity consists of launching competitive tendering in order to allocate oil blocks, we have identified 16 blocks and 3 gas blocks so far, including 9 in the central basin, 3 at the coast, and 4 in Tanganyika, and in January we will be issuing an invitation tender, we hope everything will be alright and we'll receive bids from oil majors who will come to work with us and become operators in the aforementioned blocks.

Question: How does the Democratic Republic of Congo contribute to the energy transition and the Paris agreements?

Answer: We think that the Democratic Republic of Congo is part of the planet's lungs, to begin with, thanks to the forests we possess as well as the hydrocarbons and the bogs, we have the biggest bog reserve on the planet and these bogs are located in the Salonga national park, where we can find a significant hydrocarbon deposit, however, the Democratic Republic of Congo took decided to not exploit these deposits because we believe that we must preserve the planet, so, the deposits that will be included in the invitation tender are not located in this type of parks and aren't concerned.

Question: And with regards to the energy summit prize, how can it help and support the Democratic Republic of Congo

Answer: it's like a mirror for us, we are here to allow people to find out more about what we really have, as I said earlier, we've only exploited 4% of the hydrocarbons we possess and we believe that we have the chance to show the potential of our country and convince people about the invitation tender we will be launching in 2022, so everyone who's taking part in this event can join us so that we can work together.

Answer: By carrying on doing things this way, because it is like a showcase that allows contacts between operators as well as governments and yes, it's very important.
